The whole game is in itself a metaphor for the process of growing up, of learning about consequences and responsibility.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EIndeed, there is no spirituality in the sense of a higher power or entity that can bring hope or resolution. If that\u0026#39;s something you need in order to enjoy a game, well, it\u0026#39;s not there, this game is not for you.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe writers NOT going for the stereotype of hope, NOT giving the audience what it longs for (some revelation that will explain everything, that will make everything alright), is a bold move. I want to share a perspective on this though, from an older person (49), a spiritual (not religious) person, someone who has done some research into the \u0026#39;Illuminati\u0026#39; agenda (and how pervasive conditioning of its agenda is through video gaming).\u003Cbr \/\u003EI always liked adventure\/explore, non-violent single player games, with puzzles that affected gameplay etc.  Back in the day my benchmark was games like Riven (Cyan), with puzzles inside worlds that were truly difficult - no hints on screen as to where to look etc.\u003Cbr \/\u003EI really saw certain approaches to life being insidiously pushed in this game that I experience as false.\u003Cbr \/\u003E1) sacrifice is necessary - to survive you will have to sacrifice\/betray people you love; 2) nihilistic thinking (ie nothing you do can really make a difference) 3) trust betrayed as the norm (teachers torturing and killing students etc and being supported by establishments); 4) no sense of a higher power or miraculous help that can shine into a situation)...5) that covering up and hiding the truth, sacrificing what you know to be true, is sometimes a good move\/will be rewarded (man, it never is in the long game!).  Some of the choices rewarded in this game are pretty awful.\u003Cbr \/\u003EIn particular the \u0026#39;nightmare\u0026#39; type scenario Max goes through near the end was very revealing as to the underlying cruelty and narcissism beneath this whole worldview being described.  They are really showing their hand here.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt\u0026#39;s common (apparently) for wealthy corporations with illuminati management\/bosses to buy the IP of creative companies in development.  This may have happened here.  They may have then inserted certain concepts\/encouraged choices once most of the development is done.\u003Cbr \/\u003EOf course there are the standard symbols that pop up more subtely here than in the really violent big games out there, but obviously this is for a more subtle audience, ie emo female teen probably.  But they\u0026#39;re there.  \u003Cbr \/\u003E(Apparently, this is because they have to advertise what they are doing to get around universal laws regarding free will).\u003Cbr \/\u003EI just want people to know that - this is conditioning, a form of mind control, to dumb you down to thinking this version of living is \u0026#39;normal\u0026#39;.\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt\u0026#39;s not.\u003Cbr \/\u003EIf you are able to find a community of good, spiritually-oriented or at least seeking, likeminded people, who believe in still taking whatever action they can, you will know this eventually.  Or seeing various alternative healers might unlock you from this perspective over time as well.\u003Cbr \/\u003EIt\u0026#39;s just, I know teens are very very vulnerable to being influenced for the rest of their life by the cultural influences they are imprinted by in their teen years.  With the negatively-oriented, nihilistic, usually violent, psychopathology promoting games out there these days, it\u0026#39;s a tragedy.  \u003Cbr \/\u003EI even see that in this game, in much more subtle ways.  \u003Cbr \/\u003EGood luck teens in 2019-20s...just try to be aware and look beyond this stuff!  You really do need a higher power to survive this control agenda. It is in perfect shape in the main street at the front for the tourists, but at the back (where I made the drawing) there was plaster and repairs clearly visible all over. But as I understand it, buying the Mordor expansion just gives you access to quests in Mordor. If you\u0026#39;re a VIP, you do get access to all the regular quest packs (source: \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.lotro.com\/en\/game\/vip\" rel=\"nofollow\"\u003Ehttps:\/\/www.lotro.com\/en\/game\/vip\u003C\/a\u003E), but for Moria etc you might still need to buy those expansions. I\u0026#39;ve heard that they sometimes get discounted by a lot, so many people wait for that and then buy them all in one go. I hope that helped a bit.
