ABC6: Picture of the day

Not all the things about Skyrim are that bad. Apart from using overpowered Burning Embers, you can also become invisible. Pretty handy if you want to move about unseen. Which in its turn is handy because not everyone is as friendly to me as I deserve. I'm merely trying to save the world from a dragon invasion, but sometimes it seems as if everyone in this world is set out to kill me!

The first time I was a bit surprised when I became invisible. I could still see myself, but I soon found out that others could not. It's not like Elven stealth, which is more like camouflage: you are literally look-through. It's more like a certain ring I've once heard of, but let's not speak of that here. Either way, it was an interesting experience.

In June, 'the other Ravanel' takes over Ravalation to ponder about her life as an avatar in the light of the Avatar Blogger Challenge (ABC).

  1. It's the little things that count - I just noticed that you changed the "diary of a gamer girl" tagline. You really ought to be a designer with your attention to detail. :)

    1. I would've thought something like that would be possible in Second Life! Not even half-lookthrough potions, like depicted above? I smell a business opportunity, go Lizzie! :D

  3. Yessy, I'm with Daniel & Lizzie!

So cute the "Diary of ------ an avatar!"

And really, who doesn't want the ability to be invisible. OK, now that I think about it, IRL that'd actually be pretty weird... assuming you're not a bank robber or something... but in an MMO, it sounds like fun to me!

How's summer and laptops and all that stuff going for you?

    1. It's fun to play around with a bit. Skyrim is a single-player game, although both LotRO and SWTOR (MMOs) know classes that can stealth. It's pretty funny, actually (although my Burglar in LotRO regrets that she still isn't able to rob any banks!). Next year, an 'MMO version of Skyrim' will be released (the Elder Scrolls Online). It will be interesting to see what that brings!

The summer is superbusy with finishing schoolwork so far and I've been ill a lot as well. I couldn't set myself to writing much here because I had to write so much already for uni, and now I'm going on holiday already again! I'm going to finish my version of ABM when I come back though. Will have to live with less than 30, sadly enough.

Hope you're having a nice summer!

    2. Skyrim isn't an MMO, but some classes are able to be invisible in LotRO and SWTOR (both MMOs) - my Burglar in LotRO is still annoyed that she isn't able to rob any banks there! There will be an 'MMO version of Skyrim' out next year, called The Elder Scrolls Online. Will be interesting to see what that's like!

Summer has been very busy so far, have been ill and loads of work to catch up with. I had to write so much for uni that I couldn't set myself to writing here as well. No inspiration left whatsoever. Now I'm going on holiday for a few weeks though! I'll finish the ABM when I'm back, although with a bit less than 30 entries (sorry)!

      Hope your summer is great!

    1. Hi Nanna, good to see you again! I'm so happy you like my pictures! I'm not really doing anything special to them, but I would be glad to write something down. Unfortunately I'm going on holiday for a few weeks tomorrow, but I'll do it when I'm back (maybe help me remember a bit). :D
