Today the gaming PC died on me, which left me with no means to play computer games.* At the moment of writing, I cannot take the pictures for the SWTOR outfit designer post I was planning and Conrad is raiding with our progression group, getting to 13% of the boss we've trying to kill for about a month (I'll kill him if they make it tonight!). So here I am, all alone at home, getting a bit bored. I know, right, the harsh life of a gamer without PC.

So while I'm letting out a deep sigh, my eye falls upon Rowan's latest post urging me to become all zen. How could I have forgotten? It's Developer Appreciation Week (DAW)!

I've been both looking forward to and dreading being nominated myself: looking forward because it's an honour and dreading because I don't usually talk all that much about personal things on my blog. When I read about Torhead closing down this week, it made me think about the gaming fan sites or online resources I've used over the past years. For every MMO there's a range of fan sites offering support, but sometimes it seems to me there are particularly many for SWTOR.

Exploring in Guild Wars - part 1

I'm new to the world of Guild Wars. I've never played Guild Wars 1 (I had my hands full playing Lord of the Rings Online at the time) and I know next to nothing about the lore. I'm just enjoying the game and let new things come on my path.

At least when we're talking about ballet. Do you remember those womp rats doing synchronized dancing? Well, it seems these droids on Ilum were jealous of all the attention they were getting on this blog and did their own synchronization attempt. Or they were merely trying to study the womp rat behaviour and imitate it, after good Gree custom. Who knows.

What is this? Scantily clad women featured on Ravalation? Is this some attempt to broaden my male readership or something? And why do these women not seem to stem from a certain galaxy far, far away? So many questions.

I have a friend that uses drones to map dunes, which results in pretty pictures to dissect for science. I think her favourite pet in-game is a drone too. Unfortunately, you can't really make pictures with a drone in Star Wars. But did you know you can create the same views by zooming out really far?

The Revanite Commanders and the "only-the-end-counts" type of boss fight

The Revanite Commanders hardmode are no more. We took them down on the 15th of February (I know, I know, I've been slacking with posting progression raiding). I don't have pretty graphs this time, but I do have a video and some thoughts about this type of boss fight.
